SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 41
(By Senators Bowman and McKenzie)
Congratulating the Oak Glen High School wrestling team on winning
the 2000 state Class A/AA wrestling championship.
Whereas, The Oak Glen High School wrestling team had an
excellent regular season in 2000 which earned it the opportunity to
participate in the state Class A/AA wrestling championship
playoffs; and
Whereas, The Oak Glen High School wrestling team captured its
fourth straight title after winning the 2000 state Class A/AA
wrestling championship; and
Whereas, Oak Glen High School's tremendous wrestling season is
credited to the outstanding coaching ability of Larry Shaw, along
with the athletic ability and sportsmanship of each team player;
therefore, be it
Resolved by the Senate:
That the Senate hereby congratulates the Oak Glen High School
wrestling team on its excellent regular season in 2000 and on
winning the state Class A/AA wrestling championship title for the
past four years; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk is hereby directed to forward
a copy of this resolution to the principal of Oak Glen High School, Larry Shaw, coach of the Oak Glen High School wrestling team and
each team member.
